CAREER ARC
Enterprise systems to APJ managed-services sales leadership

Practitioner-Scholar · Doctoral Researcher (DBA)

I began my career in 1996 with HCL HP, supporting enterprise technologies including HP 9000/HP-UX, Novell NetWare and X.25.

In 1998, I moved to HP, beginning a journey that has evolved from hands-on enterprise technology through business development, sales, services, managed services and partner-led GTM leadership across India and APJ.

The technologies have changed dramatically over three decades. The mindset has remained constant: stay curious, keep learning, understand what is changing, and turn that learning into business impact.

How I approach leadership.

Customer perspective, commercial discipline, technology fluency and the ability to build for scale guide how I work.

Customer first

Begin with the customer requirement and the outcome a technology or managed-services decision must support.

Commercial discipline

Shape managed-services opportunities with clear pricing, commercial constructs and the economics needed for execution.

Technology fluency

Use a customer-facing enterprise technology foundation to connect solution design with delivery considerations and business value.

Building for scale

Build partner-led motions and solution approaches that can extend from customer needs to regional and worldwide scope.

WORLDWIDE SOLUTION ARCHITECTURE

Strategy, solution, economics and commercial execution.

Complex managed services require more than technology. I lead a worldwide solution-architecting team responsible for custom managed-services solution architecture and pricing, bringing together customer requirements, technology, delivery considerations, economics and commercial strategy.

CURRENT INTEREST

AI is moving from experimentation to operations.

My interest in AI follows the same principle that has shaped my career: understand what is changing, learn continuously, and explore how emerging technology can create practical business value.

AI’s next enterprise challenge is not simply capability. It is operationalisation—building the infrastructure, governance, security, observability and operating models required to make AI useful and trustworthy at scale.

My interest is in how enterprises move from AI experimentation to sustainable, governed operations.

Still learning. Still leading.

After three decades in enterprise technology and business leadership, I continue to believe that experience is not a destination.

Every transition in my career has required learning something new—technologies, customers, business models, ecosystems and ways of leading.

Today, I continue that journey through leadership, technology exploration and doctoral research.

RESEARCH / ACADEMIC INTEREST

Sustainable AI & Agentic Governance

I am pursuing a Doctor of Business Administration at S P Jain School of Global Management, bringing structured research together with three decades of operating experience.

Exploring how enterprises can adopt increasingly autonomous AI while balancing business value, governance, accountability, operational resilience and sustainability.

Technical roots.
Commercial perspective.

My technical foundation was built close to enterprise systems—HP 9000/HP-UX, Novell NetWare and X.25—before my career expanded into sales, services, channels, managed services and GTM leadership.

It still shapes how I approach complex technology, customer outcomes, solution design, commercial value and business transformation. My formal foundation includes CCNA, Brocade Certified SAN Designer, HP-UX Certified Professional and ITIL Foundation.
